A little over a year ago, Chris and I went on one of the most amazing adventures of our life thus far. We traveled to France, mostly exploring Paris, while also heading down south to Marseille and stopping for a quick second in the Champagne region. We learned a lot, as this was our first international trip together as husband and wife. After arriving in Europe, we traveled mostly by train, so packing our camera gear was a challenging feat that we may not have attacked perfectly...but it was fun and wild regardless! Between lots of espressos, park naps, Nutella crepes, champagne, wine, shopping, exploring, biking, art purchases, and museum perusing, we captured some of our favorite footage to date...including some amazing illegal sunrise drone shots, despite a near run in with the cops. Check out our BTS film below for a bit of that nerve-racking experience!
Once it was time for us to get down to business, we met up with our friend, Mark Eric, who captured the beautiful photos for our adventurous couple, Jenny and Dan. Jenny (owner of Jenny Taylor Boudoir Photography) and Dan eloped to Paris for their wedding...being as they only had one friend attend (talented hair/makeup artist/photographer, Nikki) the wedding (plus Mark and us), the actual city of Paris was their main wedding guest/venue/florist/etc.! We wanted to tell the story of their wedding day as a journey to finding each other through all of the crazy, unique Parisian settings...ending the day back where they said their vows, with the twinkling Eiffel Tower in the distance. Jenny and Dan's chemistry, combined with the sexiness of Paris, pushed us to create a film outside of our comfort zone, allowing us to explore different aspects of our passion for filmmaking. We were so honored to have this film win the Lucent Award for Best Trailer at the In Focus 2016 Event for Filmmakers in San Antonio, Texas! Make sure to check out the films below, including our BTS video (mostly iPhone photos/footage) from this wild adventure.
Relaxing in the many GORGEOUS parks throughout Paris was one of our favorite parts of this amazing city!
