We love Emily and Matt's families so much, and we were so honored to capture another family wedding! We have never seen a more energetic bride and groom. Appropriately, their love story began during Mardi Gras because the energy of Mardi Gras is exactly these two. The weekend started off at Rock-n-Bowl for a fabulously fun rehearsal dinner celebration. We love this unique rehearsal dinner venue because after everyone enjoyed a delicious New Orleans dinner, including heartfelt and hilarious speeches about these college sweethearts, they headed to bowl and dance to live music at this classic New Orleans institution. The next day was wedding day! Emily and her besties laughed so much as they prepped for the ceremony, having a full on karaoke sing a long to classic Adele and Beyonce. It was hilarious and the perfect way for Emily to relax just before putting on her wedding dress. We loved shooting alongside the awesome Brocato Photography who set up the gorgeous bridal portraits in front of a full wall bookshelf in Emily's childhood home. It was such a creative backdrop! Everyone then headed to Emily's grandmother's French Quarter apartment for the first look. Our absolute favorite moment happened when Emily and Matt first saw each other and she jumped up and down and Matt gave her a huge hug. The party officially started! St. Louis Cathedral was breathtakingly beautiful as always, and the clouds parted just in time for everyone to second line with the newlyweds to Pat Os on the River for a fun reception headed by The Boogie Men. Emily could not wait to dance all day and that's exactly what she did all night! She also hopped on the drums for a special performance with the band and both she and Matt flew through the air for their family tradition of Shout!
